FA 03 Smaragd TMG experimental
Does the world need a new touring motor glider? Yepp! Gliding is the origin of aviation. Glider pilots start early and enjoy flying at it's best. The FA-03 Smaragd TMG is a perfect match for the flying club, enjoying glider towing as well as silent and comfortable flights. Let other do the VLJ's and glas cockipt IFR 4-seater biz stuff.
Let's not talk too much about auto pilot and trans atlantic crossing. Let's talk about gliding in thermals, switching engines off on purpose and spend miles without burning fuel.
Especially the glider pilots will enjoy this kind of flying, being just a little less dependant on weather. In some countries, a JAR-FCL PPL-training is possible in a TMG at very low rates. The FA-03 project is on it's way. It's flying and we are finishing paper work these days. We are pretty sure that we have the first sales in 2009 on a kit basis. Considering the first flight impressions, it flies like a dream!
